Evening all!

I feel like I've been saying this way too often in my posts, but unfortunately it is true that blogging has taken a back seat in my life, but I am really hoping that I'll have some more time to do it soon!

So where have I been?

In a nutshell, I've been:

At work, Joined Slimming World, Swimming with Tri4Girlz or at the gym...

like I said, in a nutshell right?

However, all of these have been a positive step forward to where I ultimately want to be, which is a better me!

So far I've lost 16lbs (WOO!) - with Slimming World, earning my 1/2 stone, 1 stone and bronze body magic awards, I'm finally starting to get my confidence back and I go on my first solo (well, without family!) holiday to Amsterdam next week with my best friend Lucy!

I'm looking forward to Amsterdam and will be sure to put a post up about our adventures soon!

However in the meantime, here's what we can hope to see on the blog in (hopefully!) near future:

Amsterdam travels, weightloss updates, Tri4Girlz, Pre Tea Slim review and anything else that may spring to mind!

That's that really, don't worry, I haven't disappeared all together!

Speak soon,

There are a lot of things that go through your head when you're considering with the concept of weightloss, it can be a long thought process but it can also be a short one, depending on your situation.

Questions wind around your head, such as Do I want to lose weight? Do I need to lose weight? How much do I need/want to lose? - it does dawn on you.

In the past year I've learnt to stay away from the magazines (except cosmopolitan... oops haha), but in general fashion magazines, those that tend to paint a picture of the perfect figure, the "one size fits all" figure that it looks like everyone should have...

In reality, one size does not fit all, everyone is different, everyone is unique, just like our fingerprints!

I've always had bigger thighs and calves and I've always had a pretty big bum, no matter what size I've been, I know I'll never escape it so I might as well work on those areas and embrace them.

It breaks my heart a little when I know for a fact there are people out there who have been in similar situations to me, that have struggled with weightloss and it is soul destroying, the littlest thing can set off anxiety running through your mind, but you have to find what's right for you.

I used to look at size 12 clothes and my mind used to go into overdrive, but now I look at them and see them as a long term goal, weightloss is a long process, it isn't easy and it certainly doesn't happen overnight! - you have to find what works for you.

For me, me putting myself out there on my social media channels, whether that be progress updates, what i'm eating, selfies, whatever it be, I like to put it out there, it feels like I have something to prove, except it's not to anyone but myself.

Especially where results are concerned!

I'm finally starting to look in the mirror and feel confident in who I am and what I want to do with my body, I don't feel ashamed anymore, because I'm putting in the effort and seeing the changes I want to see, is both motivating and inspiring to me!

Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin.

In this world, it is tough to go through such a journey without difficulties (If you do, you're incredibly lucky!) - One thing I have seen and experienced is body shaming, which is never nice in any form, the stigma of those with a larger, fuller figure in the gym can again, be soul destroying and it needs to stop, I believe that everyone has to start somewhere and no matter what that is, whether its taking a few steps on the treadmill or a lifting a small weight, everyone has to start somewhere to get where they want to be! We should empower and encourage each other, not bring each other down for the fun of it, the likes of Jessica Ennis and Dwayne Johnson didn't just achieve what they have overnight! It was a combination of hard work and determination

Weightloss is a mindset, it's a journey and its a long road, it takes discipline, motivation and you have to push yourself, but as I've found, it's really bloody worth it!

I go to the gym and I also go to slimming world and I've seen such a difference since starting! - This week I got my 1/2 stone off award and I've lost 10lbs in 4 weeks.

I'm also the lightest I've been in 3 years at 15st 1 and a 1/2 lbs (a year ago I was 16st 6lbs!) - I'm really starting to see a difference in my figure, my clothes and my confidence.

Most importantly a difference in my mindset, which you need if you're going to put yourself through any sort of life changing event.

Take care of yourself! It's important for your mental and physical health!

Until next time,
