Hi all!

Today's blog is an explanation and a bit of motivation (for me, haha!).

I started this blog as a motivational tool to help me lose weight (which I am still trying and have every intention to continue!).

However, what started off as a weightloss and fitness blog as well as a bit of lifestyle, has become 100% lifestyle somewhat which of course wasn't the intention.

I fully intend for it to go back to mainly fitness and weightloss, in the past previous months I've had a bit of writers block and just have no idea what to write about in those subjects! I'm still brainstorming and trying to tie it in with everyday life and also trying to plan what to do with my exercise plan and diet to tie it in with my blog.

So I have a number of things I want to do:

A) Start a Vlog on youtube alongside "Shift My Booty".
B) Do more exciting things in fitness and lifestyle to continue!
C) Possible rebrand, I love 'Shift My Booty' however, I'm putting a poll out on twitter within the next 24 hours to help me decide whether a futrue rebrand is appropriate! vote here.
D) 2016 will be my year, I want to make a real difference to my figure and my health, I have so much support from my family and friends, including my blogger friends! I hope this time next year to be in a position where i'm near enough to my weight goals!
E) I really want to go away for a few days on a sports/fitness mini break (think Centre Parcs or something along them lines!) where I'm constantly active and have something to do! watch this space!

On the track of motivation, I've purchased these fab prints from Coconut Lane, a fab little company (check out their website here) to give me motivation when I'm feeling down or a little bit deflated!

A print to remind me no matter what I'm doing or where I am, to keep my head held high and be myself!

A print telling me that no matter what, to be the best I can be!

Lastly, since Queen B is figure goals, if ever in doubt, I just ask "What would Beyonce do?"

There is more fab prints and products on their website, also, help yourself to a fab 20% off with the code hayleygrice20 ! (You're welcome ;).)

So that's that, I hope to do some posts on motivation and over coming the mentality of weightloss and self image in time to come too! So watch this space!

Until next time,

Happy Day 7 everyone!

 Evening all!

It's Day 6 of Blogmas and today's post is all about the Manchester Christmas Markets!

This week during a short trip to Manchester, I thought I may as well take a short trip and have a look around, since I've not been before and it was lovely!

I went with friends Ben and Lois that I know from school and it was very much the traditional German markets with beer, traditional German food and little trinket stalls with things from Fairy Lights to Garden Shears!

As it got darker though the atmosphere really set in, the main area is at Manchester Town Hall, there's a lot of similar stalls but a lot of unique and individual stalls, one of which was selling "Toffee Vodka"! - Which I'd never heard of before.
There was also a pop up bar in the Town Hall Square and plenty of different bits and bobs to offer!
You'll know if you're in the right place or not, this guy is sat on the top of the entrance of Manchester town hall, you can't miss him!

The decorations were simple and cute and the atmosphere and people definitely added to it! I didn't actually purchase anything as I've already done my christmas shopping and didn't see anything I really needed, but if you're stuck for inspiration, the markets offer a good variety of fun and almost wacky present ideas that could work for some presents!

What was also great was the variety of German food stalls all with their own take on German classics:

This was a plain Bratwurst (sorry if I mispelt that ha! My German isn't that great) and it's under a fiver, which is a bonus! - You could get spicier versions too but since I'm not great with spice and I didn't know what to expect, I went for the safe and probably sensible standard option for my first one.

Plenty of sweet treat stalls with sweets, fudge and even satisfying your mulled wine and christmas pudding cravings!

I'd highly recommend the Manchester Christmas Markets for a lovely couple of hours!
I'm looking forward to maybe looking at some other locations in the coming years, I'd love to see the Lincoln christmas market and others!

That's all for day 6, Until then,

Happy Blogmas Day 5 all!

Today's post is going to be a Christmas Tag!
I stole this from Emmie at Carpe Diem Emmie
Go and check out her blog on the link above^.

So here we go!

1 \\ What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
I would definitely have to say the music, it can instantly make any atmosphere festive! But also getting to spend some time with my family and closest friends!

2 \\ What is your favorite Christmas movie/s?

Ooh... excellent question, I'd say Elf or Love Actually!

3 \\ Real tree or fake tree?
Real trees are always lovely but I get really sad when they start to wilt and it comes to throw them away! So fake tree in my eyes!

4 \\ Giving presents or receiving them?
I love both, I love putting a lot of thought into peoples gifts and seeing people light up (I hope) when I give them their gift, but on the other hand, who doesn't like recieving gifts?!

5 \\ Do you open your presents Christmas morning or evening?
Usually in the morning, which I'm cool with, but I think my mum wants to spread it out a bit this year haha!

6 \\ What tops your tree?
It's either an angel or a star, I think we have a couple... but tomorrows post is about my decorations so watch this space haha!

7 \\ As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I genuinely can't remember! Might have to get back to you on that one... maybe it was heeley's.. but I'm not certain ha!

8 \\ Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
I'd love to make handmade ones if I have the time but there isn't enough time in my busy schedule! But when I buy them I like to buy ones where a some (or all) of the proceeds go to charity!

9 \\ What's your favourite Christmas food?
Pigs in Blankets! Failing that the Turkey! What else?!

10 \\ Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Not as such, the only tradition my family have is saving a present for round the dinner table instead of crackers :)

I'd love to see your Christmas Tags!
Tomorrow's Blogmas post will be about Manchester Christmas Markets!

Until tomorrow,

Hello all!

It's Day 4 of Blogmas - and today I'm tallying up my top 25 Christmas Songs!

Christmas Music is one of the many things that makes christmas am I right? (Yes, I am).
Over my 21 years I've listened to a lot of different types of music and christmas is up there with one of my favourite types of music!
I've given all the classics a listen, as well as the songs that you may not of thought of!
So here we go, here is my top 25 Christmas Songs!

25

At number 25 is The Jackson 5 with Frosty the Snowman!
A motown twist to a classic song is a fab addition to the christmas line up!

24

At number 24 is the lovely Kylie Minogue with Santa Baby! This is a great hit, but it's not my favourite... however it does deserve a spot in the top 25!

23
At 23 is Mr Elton John with Step Into Christmas! An upbeat fun track which is great to get the mood for christmas going!

22
At 22 is Coldplay with Christmas Lights! - A very chilled out christmas song I think, perfect for the relaxing festive evening!

21
At 21 we see Boney M with Mary's Boy Child, a fun, wacky and upbeat song which is just a fab edition to the christmas line up!

20

At 20 I think is the very underated 'I'll be home for Christmas' by the one and only Frank Sinatra! It's smooth, slow and perfect for a cosy night in!

19
19 sees "A spaceman came travelling" by Chris De Burgh - very different to your average christmas song I believe! but different is always good! but all the same incredibly merry and cheerful!

18

Now who doesn't love Elvis?! Blue Christmas is fab! and with Elvis' smooth voice, it'sa  lovely, cool and collected addition to my line line up!

17
At 17 is Band Aid 20 (Not the original Band Aid! Spoiler - that's a bit later!) - but with a mix of some fab artists such as Busted (WOO!), Sugababes (You must remember them surely?!), Robbie Williams, Dido and even Daniel Bedingfield! (Gotta Get Thru This guy if you can't remember him, also Natasha Bedingfields bro...) - but this came out in 2004 when I personally admit I think music was at peak. (Should I be ashamed? I love cheesy music haha!).

16

2011's John Lewis advert saw the cover of 'The Power of Love' - originally by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, covered beautifully by Gabrielle Aplin, the fact it was featured on the iconic John Lewis Christmas advert is good enough to get it a spot on this countdown!

15

Ok, sorry another song that featured on another John Lewis advert, but this is the cutest christmas advert ever and it makes me cry everytime, and Lily Allen beautifully covers Keane's original 'Somewhere only we know' - so deserves a spot in the top 15 at least!

14
At 14 - For me it's Stop the Cavalry, a great reminder to all the soldiers all over the world who may or may not get to spend christmas with their other half's or families whilst serving and protecting our country! Respect to all! xo

13

Ok, if you haven't seen this film as a child (or at all!!) then what?! why? 'Walking in the air' - Aled Jones is the fab soundtrack for this short film and it's great, gives me all them childhood christmas feels ha.

12

At 12 is a quarter of the Beatles and his wife Yoko Ono with Happy Xmas (War is Over).
A lovely reflective song sure to get spirits high and remembering a great musician (R.I.P John Lennon!)

11

Next is John Lennon's next quarter of the Beatles - Paul McCartney! Such a great christmas song, so upbeat and the video is set in a pub, what more could you want? Plus McCartney overall is just great and hilarious... (If you disagree please refer to above GIF.)

10

IT'S CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Famous Noddy Holder line from this song is an all round please at christmas!

9

I wish it could be christmas everyday! (well in all honesty not really) but still what a great song!

 8
At 8 is the original (and the best!) Band Aid, such a great song for such a great cause! Again, another song that if you haven't heard it, you haven't lived! - Without a doubt one of the best christmas songs!

7

Last Christmas by Wham flies in at 7 for me, this is the perfect song for remembering that boy/girl that you gave your all to last christmas... and then vanished (story of my life... except not just at christmas hahaha! - anyway...) but still, a classic either way!

6

The classic 'White Christmas' by Bing Crosby has to be up in my top 10! It's a lovely festive tune with a warm fuzzy feeling!

5
Michael Buble is without a doubt one smooth talker... and singer! His christmas albums are highly rated amongst my friends and family, I'd even go as far to say it could be a crime if a few Buble christmas songs weren't played!

4

Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin Steven's is a classic - of course its in my top 10!

3

Number 3 is Driving home for christmas by Chris Rea - I understand the GIF is of Waynes World and is no way related to this song, but it literally describes my feeling of driving home from my last shift before christmas or when I came home for christmas from uni! So many great feelings and memories!

2

Of course at number 2 is All I want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey, such a lovely and festive song, with a fab music video to go with it!

And finally at number 1...

Fairytale of New York!

My favourite christmas song ever! - full of laughter, humour and heartbreak! And it tells a story, what's not to love?

That's my top 25 christmas songs, what are your favourites? I'd love to hear!

Until Blogmas Day 5!
